Cardamom is one of the oldest and most widespread exotic spices and it is impossible to imagine our kitchen without it. What would the pre-Christmas season be without speculoos, gingerbread or mulled wine? Even the delicious Swedish Kanelbullar (cinnamon rolls) would not exist without it. But this is by no means the end of the story: How about delicious curries, sophisticated rice dishes, spicy chutneys or spicy couscous with cardamom? Who could say no to that?
