Bio spice basil dried

Together with mozzarella and tomatoes, basil recreates the tricolore not only in Insalata Caprese. The spicy-fresh taste also conjures up a touch of Italy in your kitchen in the classic tomato sauce on Pizza Margherita or sprinkled over Mediterranean vegetables. A little tip: It's best to add the rubbed spice to your dish just before the end, so the herb retains its aroma and doesn't become bitter.

Already knew, basil is a truly stately herb. After all, its name derives from the Greek word basil, which means royal. The actual home of the spice, however, is said to be northwest India. Today, however, this hardly plays a role, after all, the basil plant is cultivated in all tropical, subtropical and even temperate climate zones.
