For the preparation you first give the orange a thorough shower. Then peel it thinly and put the peel aside - don't throw it away, you'll need it! Squeeze the juice from the orange and mix it in a pot with the naturally cloudy apple juice. Now add the spices, ginger and orange zest and let the punch boil and steep for at least 30 minutes. This is the best way for the flavors to develop. Next, fish out the spices, ginger, and orange peel from the drink, since you don't want them to end up in your cup later. Bring the punch itself to the boil a second time. It can now be served hot.
