Fenugreek, so called by the horned form of its small seeds, is native to the Mediterranean region and Asia and has been known since ancient times. Medical experts such as Hildegard von Bingen praised the excellent effect on many diseases. Nowadays, the aromatic fenugreek seeds are an important ingredient for many curry and lentil dishes, but also as a cheese or bread spice. Harmonizing it is particularly good with spiced pepper, cumin, chili, turmeric, paprika or coriander.
