Perfect Steak from the Air Fryer – Easy and Full of Flavor
For one serving, take a 250 g beef steak such as roast beef, ribeye, or fillet and remove it from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking. Let it rest at room temperature.
Season the steak evenly on all sides with 1 to 2 teaspoons of Young Kitchen Steak & Chicken Rub and let it rest for another 10 minutes.
Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C. Insert a core temperature thermometer into the center of the steak. Place the steak in the basket and cook at 200 °C for about 5 minutes until it reaches a core temperature of around 30 °C.
Turn the steak and cook for another 5 minutes until it reaches 50 to 54 °C for medium rare. Remove the steak from the air fryer and let it rest for about 5 minutes. During this time, the core temperature will rise slightly.
Slice and serve.
Tip: Rub the meat with the Steak & Chicken Rub and let it rest for at least 10 minutes before cooking. This helps the seasoning adhere better and ensures even flavor distribution, especially when using an air fryer.
