Self made granola bar

Have you ever made granola bars yourself? No? The time has come! Not only are they healthier than the supermarket alternative, they also taste much better. Whether at school, in the office or on the go they are the ideal snack in between and give us a real boost in energy. And the best? – There are no limits to your creativity in preparation! How about bananas and almonds or white chocolate and pistachios? If you want to decide for yourself what is in your granola bar, you can do it easily and quickly with our recipe. Have fun trying!

Ingredients:

  • 200g brown sugar (or for the sugar-free variant: 180 g liquid honey)
  • 180g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp Young Kitchen Oatmeal spice
  • 2 bananas
  • 300g oatmeal
  • 60g walnuts
  • 60g almonds

Preparation:

Put the sugar or honey with the butter in a saucepan and whisk with a hand mixer. Peel and roughly chop the bananas. Then add all the ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture and mix everything well. Now spread the mass on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 175 ° C for approx. 40 minutes. Let the finished dough cool briefly and cut into bars.
