It’s time again for some competition for the delivery service and the frozen goods! We bake pizza!
It is the favorite food of many of us: the pizza! Whether crispy thin or as a thicker, American version, with salami and ham or rather a lot of vegetables, there are plenty of variations. But how about something other than the classic tomato sauce base? A healthier alternative?
What should that look like? A wonderfully crispy spelled base as base, on top of it a spicy-fresh avocado cream cheese cream with a hint of lemon, red onions and mozzarella. Added to this after the end of the baking time are nutty arugula, smoked salmon with its valuable omega-3 fatty acids, avocado that scores with unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins A, E and plenty of secondary plant substances and nuts for the crunch! Mamma mia, how delicious!
Recipe for guacamole pizza
For the dough
- 200g spelled flour or, if desired, gluten-free flour mixture
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- cubes of yeast
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
For covering
- 300g cream cheese, natural
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 lemon
- 4 sprigs of dill
- 3 tsp guacamole spice
- 1 red onion
- 1 scoop of mozzarella
- 1 handful of arugula
- 50g smoked salmon
- 1 handful of pecan or waluts
dough
Mix the flour and salt in a bowl. Mix yeast with approx. 120 ml of lukewarm water (approx. 200 ml for the gluten-free version) until the yeast has dissolved. Form a hollow, add the yeast mixture. Lightly dust with flour and leave to stand for 10 minutes. Then add olive oil and knead everything into a smooth dough. Knead the pizza dough vigorously with your hands on a floured work surface, shape it into a ball and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place in a foil-covered bowl.
covering
Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Crush avocado in a small bowl. Add the pack of cream cheese, dill, 3 teaspoons of guacamole spice and the juice of half a lemon.
Cut the mozzarella and the red onion into small pieces. Roll out the freshly baked or finished pizza dough and spread the avocado cream cheese mixture on top. Top with the red onions and mozzarella, season with salt and pepper and put in the oven for about 15 minutes so that the edge is nicely browned. Slice the smoked salmon. Spoon the flesh of the remaining half of the avocado out of the bowl and cut into slices. Take the pizza out of the oven. Quickly top with rocket and then with smoked salmon, avocado and the pecan or walnuts. If you like, you can put the pizza in the warm oven for another 5 minutes.
