Trick or treat! It’s finally time again, the scariest night of the year is coming – Halloween! Did you know that the word is derived from the English term “All Hallows Eve (ning)”? In German this means “Night before All Saints’ Day”.
There is no limit to your imagination on this day, both when choosing your eerily beautiful paneling and in the kitchen. However, if you still have no idea for your Halloween buffet, we have the right suggestions for you here! With these terribly delicious recipe ideas, you are guaranteed to surprise your guests!
Vegetable chips
- a sweet potato
- a zucchini
- an eggplant
- an olive oil
- Young Kitchen vegetable chips spice
Peel the sweet potato, zucchini and aubergine and cut into thin slices with a peeler. Then cut the grimaces in and mix the vegetable slices with olive oil and 1 – 2 tbsp vegetable chips seasoning. Then spread everything on the baking sheet and bake for 40 – 50 minutes until crispy at 140 ° C (forced air).
Paprika with chilli / minced meat filling
- 400 g minced meat
- 400 g chunky tomatoes
- a garlic
- an onion
- grated cheese
- 4 peppers
- Young Kitchen Hot Chili Mix
Peel the garlic and onion and cut into small cubes. Place in a saucepan with the minced meat and sauté briefly. Then add the chunky tomatoes and bring to the boil. Season with the hot chili mix as desired.
Cut the lid off the peppers and then remove the seeds. Then fill with the minced meat sauce and sprinkle the grated cheese over it. Then put the lid back on the bell pepper. Bake the whole thing at approx. 160 ° for 10 minutes.
Tip: The peppers must not be baked too softly, otherwise they will not stop afterwards.
Spider web pizza
- a pizza dough
- a can of passed tomatoes
- olives
- Grated cheese
- Young Kitchen pizza seasoning
Roll out the pizza dough and cut it round if necessary. Mix the strained tomatoes in a bowl with our Young Kitchen Pizza spice and add to the batter. Then place the grated cheese in the form of a spider web on the pizza. Cut the olives into the spider body and legs and also put them on the pizza. Bake the pizza dough according to the instructions.
Blood juice (apple cranberry cider)
- 750 ml apple juice
- 600 ml cranberry juice
- 15 g cane sugar
- cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 squeezed lemon
- 1 tbsp dried cranberries
Place all the ingredients, except the dried cranberries, in a saucepan and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes. Finally add the dried cranberries and stir everything again. If you like, you can fish out the spices before serving.
Tip: It is best to enjoy the blood juice hot.
