Potash

Recipe suggestion:
Ingredients: 450 g flour, 250 g sugar, 150 g butter, 250 g honey, 100 g mixed almonds, 1 egg, 1 lemon, 1 teaspoon ginger powder, 1 teaspoon potash, 2 tablespoons rum To spread: 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 100 g icing sugar
Ginger biscuits: Heat sugar, honey and butter in a pot until the sugar is dissolved. Leave to cool. Knead 400 g flour, almonds, ginger, lemon peel, egg to a dough. Then mix rum and potash, knead with the dough until it no longer sticks. Put in a cool place overnight. Roll out the dough, then mix with the other ingredients. Cut out different shapes. Bake on a tray lined with baking paper at 180°C for approx. 18 minutes. For the icing, mix lemon juice and icing sugar and coat the places.
