I am not sure if you have any idea how many hardworking people are out and about for Hartkorn every day to bring fresh spice supplies to the many supermarkets. There are two days every year that I become aware of it myself, and every time there are more people: At our annual field service conference!
On these two days, all of the Republic’s employees come together in Koblenz to exchange ideas in interesting workshops, to get to know the latest hard grain products, to give feedback or simply to chat and chat a bit at a casual evening event. The workshops in small groups were successfully launched last year after we realized that we simply became too many people for the classic “frontal lessons”. The principle “small groups, lots of participation, learning with fun” was again a complete success this year.
The events were more than just peppered again. Our trainees, represented by Jacqueline Weinschneider and Stefan Dany, once showed the field staff where the kitchen hammer hangs. In a cooking show, the two showed impressively how easy and quick it is to prepare delicious dishes with our new “Young Kitchen” spices.
It also got interesting in the “little hartkorn furniture store”. Here, facility manager Patrick Lorch and Rüdiger Weber showed our new furniture for spice presentation in the supermarket. Because he is the sales representative himself and therefore has to repair a cabinet or set it up himself.
In many other lectures, the employees marvelled at news from quality assurance, purchasing, production, administration and other departments. For example, production manager Olga Held and production manager Alexander Weishaupt confronted the workshop
participants with the everyday pitfalls in production and invited them to simply fill a few cans with the required amount. Sales manager Uwe Westerheide and team leader Thomas Flüg impressed the participants with the presentation of new products and their placement in the supermarket. The far north with sales manager Manfred Wyrellus and team leader Jörg Mahler dealt intensively with spice knowledge and were able to pass on their knowledge in an exciting and entertaining way. Just take a look at a few impressions from the workshops:
So that the fun is not neglected, there is also an evening event with a relaxed atmosphere every year. This year, the two professional bartenders from the cocktail bar “Daddy O´s American Cocktailbar”, known far beyond the borders of Koblenz, mixed cocktails and delighted everyone with an interesting GIN tasting. If you wanted, you could also measure yourself with the boss at the football table (the following Monday there was an unusually high number of terminations :-D)
Oh, what am I writing a lot about here, pictures usually say more than a thousand words:
All in all, it was again a completely successful, interesting and entertaining event. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all workshop leaders and our great field staff for their keen interest and of course all hard-working helpers in the organization, assembly and dismantling. We are looking forward to next year!
