Recipe of the month for December: cinnamon stars

At Christmas time there is a recipe for delicious cinnamon stars today:


  •  3 egg whites
  •  250g powdered sugar
  •  250-300g almonds
  •  2-4 teaspoons of Hartkorn organic Ceylon cinnamon
  •  alternatively: 2-4 tsp cassia cinnamon for a more intense cinnamon aroma

And this is how it is done:

Beat egg whites to stiff egg whites. Mix in the powdered sugar. Pick up some of it for brushing. Mix ground almonds with cinnamon and add under the meringue. Let the dough rest for 1 hour. Sprinkle sugar on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and roll out the snow about 1/2 cm thick. Cut out the stars and brush with the egg whites. Bake at 150 ° until the edge is lightly browned and the egg whites crack. Makes about 20 stars.
