Energy balls for the shopping marathon in the run-up to Christmas…

The pre-Christmas season … some combine it with relaxed evenings, thick cozy socks and lots of cookies and hot drinks. For the others, however, this time is only one thing: stress! After all, gifts for friends, family and neighbors have to be procured and the pet should also not go away empty-handed. However, everyone did not express any wishes, so that one thing is particularly important: creativity!

5 minutes in the city and you quickly realized that apparently exactly on this day all other inhabitants of the earth have decided to get their Christmas presents! While the queues in front of changing rooms or at cash registers seem to never end, in one or the other shop you feel like a sardine in an oil can after entering. You bravely try to fight your way through the crowd and ignore all pushers and pushers. Now it means: Never lose your nerve! And since we’re all hungry or hypoglycemic pretty quickly becoming a little diva, there’s a healthy, sweet soothing soul today:

Spicy Energy Balls:

  • 100 g of oatmeal
  • 75 g dates (pitted)
  • 75 g almonds
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of Christmas stollen, gingerbread or speculoos spice

Roughly chop the oatmeal in a blender. Cut the dates and almonds in a blender, but relatively finely. Mix oatmeal with a pinch of salt and the spice. Then stir in the date and almond, mix with the liquefied coconut oil. Finally, mix in the honey. Moisten the hands with water and roll small balls out of the dough and spread them on a plate. Leave to stand for 1 hour, then sprinkle with flowers or spices (e.g. cinnamon, Christmas stollen, gingerbread, speculoos). Then you can hike in the fridge, because they taste best when refrigerated.
